RULES AND REGULATION
Rules for Short Film and Documentary
-Open to all registered students of UNITEN, in a group of at least 5 person and does not exceed 8 person.
-The masterpiece submitted must not be published or submitted to any contest before.
-The submitted form must be sent by the owner of the masterpiece.
-The organizer have the authority to reject any incomplete form or does not follow the rules.
-Any objections from any group will not be entertain.
-The organizer will not return back any masterpiece submitted.
-Organizer will have the authority to published the masterpiece for commercial purpose.
-The duration for a short film is 10-20 minutes after editing including credits. For documentary the duration is also 10-20 minutes after editing including credits.
-All masterpiece must be original and does not convey any sensitive issue.
-All equipment while making the film or documentary will not provided,
-All recordings must be submitted in a form of CD, formatted VCD/DVD.
-All CD’s must have the “Short Film/Documentary: stickers with details of the group members.
-The dateline for submitting the CD is before 28th of September 2009.
-All recording must be in Bahasa Melayu or English. For English film, must include subtitles in malay.
-RM 20.00 will be charged as a registration fee for each form submitted.
Judging criteria.
-Masterpiece that suit the contest rule, good, got moral value and interesting story line and idea, suitable with title/theme will win the competition.
-Judges decision are final. Any objections will not be entertain.
-The criteria for ‘Short Film’ are as follow.
· Original idea, good moral value and nice story line.
· New and fresh idea highlighted..
· The ability and effectiveness of actors and actress in delivering the message.
· The suitable of location of shooting with the title of the film choose.
· Creativity in editing and music being used.
· Timing of the film.
The criteria for Documentary are as follow.
· Original idea, good moral value and nice story line.
· New and fresh idea highlighted..
· The ability and effectiveness of the actors and actresses in delivering the message.
